Dear Rocanville Cross Country Trail Participants                                                                                                                              October 2025

As noted previously our trails are available for both skiing in the winter months and Nordic walking in the summer months.  The trails this summer were generally dry and mowed with good conditions for Nordic walking. Dennis Hack took it upon himself to continue to plant pine & spruce trees along the trail which now number over 900.  Dennis is checking on them and is optimistic the trees will have a good survival rate.

The Esterhazy club is once again challenging us to compete with them on the total number of km skied.  The sign in forms by the door of the club is formatted for everyone to note their name and # of kilometres skied.

We encourage interested children 7 to 15 years of age to come out at 10 AM on Saturday mornings and a person will be there to ski with them right on the trails.

The 2025 schedule of fees and registration forms are provided on our facebook, website and at the club house.  Please note a Class B membership will allow you to not only ski during the winter but also allow you to use the trail for Nordic walking during the summer.  Rental equipment continues to be provided for both skiing and Nordic walking.

Our web site is (https://rocanvillecrosscountrytrails.ca) and we also have a Facebook site to keep everyone updated.  Both sites can be reached by typing ‘Rocanville Cross Country Ski Club’.

Please note all membership registrations must go to through the Zone 4 website.   Memberships entered on line saves the re-entering of information by volunteers where paper forms are used.

Options for membership registration and payment are as follows:

  1. Register directly with Zone 4 and pay using your credit card.

    1. Go to ‘Zone4.ca/register’

    2. Type ‘Rocanville’

    3. Click on ‘Registration Form – 2025-26’

    4. Complete form

  2. Complete registration form provided at clubhouse, leaving form together with payment in the

    locked box.

Payment for day fees should be left in the locked box beside the daily registration sheets or e-transferred to ‘rocskiclub@gmail.com’.

November 2024 Newsletter

Dear Rocanville Cross Country Trail Participants November 2024

As noted previously our trails are available for both skiing in the winter months and Nordic walking in the
summer months. The trails this summer were generally dry and mowed which good conditions for Nordic
walking. Dennis Hack took it upon himself to plant just over 600 pine & spruce trees along the trail. We are
hoping the trees will have a good survival rate being planted in a natural setting.

The Esterhazy club is challenging us to compete with them on number of people using the trail & kilometers
skied. The sign in form by the door of the club house has been adjusted to record this information.

There continues to be an interest in a educational ski program for children of ages between 7 and 12 years
old. Our plan this year is that children interested should come out at 10 AM on Saturday mornings and a
person will be there to ski with them right on the trails. Children interested for this must either pay the
regular trail & equipment fees or have an annual pass. Children wishing to get a Jack Rabbit toque would
need to be officially registered for the program.

We are attaching a registration and waiver form to this letter for the 2024-25 year. Please note a Class B
membership will allow you to not only ski during the winter but also allow you to use the trail for Nordic
walking during the summer. Rental equipment in the club house is continuing to be provided for cross
country skiing as well as several sets of Nordic walking poles for participants to use on the trail during the
summer months.

We have an active web site (https://rocanvillecrosscountrytrails.ca) and a Facebook site to keep the public
updated. Both sites can be reached by just typing ‘Rocanville Cross Country Ski Club’.

Please note Sask. Ski uses the Zone 4 website to record memberships so joining online is preferable. It
saves re-entering information by volunteers where paper forms are used.

Options for registering and paying the fees as identified below:

  1.  Register directly with Zone 4 and pay using your credit card.
    a. Go to ‘Zone4.ca/register’
    b. Type ‘Rocanville’
    c. Click on ‘Registration Form – 2024-25’
    d. Complete form.
  2.  Leave the registration forms together with the funds at the Club House.
  3.  E-mail your registration forms and payment directly to our ski club address at
rocskiclub@gmail.com. If you pay this way, you need to scan & e-mail your registration form
to this address or just leave it at the club house.
